Bankruptcies usually have various different groups of creditors and stakeholders. The Berlin-Brandenburg Committee for Insolvency Law has been providing a forum since 1998, so that these various groups can exchange their experiences and work on common issues. Operational problems during bankruptcy procedures are addressed and discussed with various actors and can thus be prevented before they even arise in practical scenarios.

The association dates back 1949 and nowadays nearly has 650 members. It is thus probably one of the largest of its kind in Germany. A membership in the Committee for Insolvencies Cologne enables the frequent exchange between judges, registrars, academics, insolvency administrators and all other occupations that work with the issue of bankruptcies.
